Leslie Mendoza- President

Hi everyone! My name is Leslie Mendoza and I am beyond excited to be the Tiny Toes President! I have wanted to pursue a profession in women’s services since I was a little girl. I quickly realized that my love for babies and pregnant moms was right for my heart. After I graduate I hope to be a L&D nurse. I am so excited for this semester and I can’t wait to meet everyone! I know this will be an amazing semester, and if anyone ever needs anything never hesitate to reach out!

Vice President- Kalki Kathiravan

Hello everyone my name is Kalki Kathiravan, and I am a second semester nursing student. I received my bachelors in biochemistry from the University of Houston. I gained my love for pediatrics from my experience teaching students as a biology teacher and taking care of my wonderful tiny patients as an EMT. I am very excited to bring great volunteer opportunities in the upcoming months.

Secretary- Gazal Parekh

My name is Gazal Parekh and I am a second year MD-MPH student. Surgery means everything to me and was the reason I came into medicine. Appropriately, my aspirations are to become a cardiothoracic surgeon. I am also interested in specializing even further into pediatric CT surgery. I look forward to working with everyone and bringing together Tiny Toes and the School of Medicine!


Treasurer- Chibunkem Ogoh

Hi everyone! My name is Chichi Ogoh! I’m currently a third semester student at UTMB School of Nursing!! I joined Tiny Toes because I wanted to get more involved and educated in the neonatal world. I am so excited for all the volunteer opportunities and social connections to come in the future. Thank you for reading!!

Social Media Coordinator- Amber Krizan

Hello everyone! My name is Amber and I am SO excited to serve as Tiny Toe’s Social Media Coordinator! A little bit about me is I love long sunset walks, concerts, movie nights, photoshoots and Jesus! I hope to work in L&D or the NICU upon graduation. Children and babies are my passion and I want to make a difference in their lives. I am so excited to be apart of this organization!

Volunteer Coordinator-Becca Stinson

Hi everyone my name is Becca Stinson and I am very excited to be your volunteer coordinator! In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, cooking, and spending time with friends. I joined tiny toes because I thoroughly enjoy helping children and aspire to be a PICU/NICU nurse upon graduation. I am very eager to bring all the wonderful volunteer opportunities to you this semester!

Assistant Volunteer Coordinator - Sydney Richter


Hi everyone! My name is Sydney Richter and I am excited to be the Tiny Toes Assistant Volunteer Coordinator! I have always wanted a career where I can help others and I am so happy I chose nursing. After I graduate, I hope to go into the Pediatric Oncology field or work in the NICU and eventually become a FNP. In my free time, I like to go on hikes, read, and spend time with my friends and family. I’m excited to be a part of this organization and hope to do great things this semester!

Historian - Mahek Punjani

Hi my name is Mahek Punjani and I am super excited to be joining the Tiny Toes officer team as the Historian! I decided to go into nursing because I wanted to pursue a stable and rewarding career where I could help others everyday. My older sister is also a nurse so she was one of my inspirations as well. I love babies and children so I hope to get a job at Texas Children’s on a pedi or NICU unit. In my free time I love watching movies and spending time with family. I look forward to a great semester!

SOM Rep- Cody Luong

My name is Cody Luong, and I am the School of Medicine representative for Tiny Toes. I am a second year MD/MPH student with an interest in pediatrics. I love working with kids, and I am looking forward to involving the medical school in this wonderful organization! :)
